Ever spend $80 on a blind date and you knew it wasn’t going to work fifteen minutes into meeting? Me too…a few times. These dates can get time consuming and expensive pretty quickly. With Wingman Cards you get a nice scouting report through Facebook to avoid such blind-date-mishaps.
I was talking to a guy last week and had to give him a free Wingman Card pack after the story he told me:
“I went on a blind date with this lady who not only picked one of the most expensive restaurants around but then decided to order two bottles of wine. The worst part was that she was pretty annoying. She kept on doing this thing with both her hands that made her look as if she was thinking very deeply…and I assure you she was not. Anyways, normally I don’t do this but when the check came she goes, ‘Do you want to split it?’ And I quickly said ‘yes’. It was still sixty bucks but at least it wasn’t $120. She gave me her number but I never used it.”
If you meet someone with a Wingman Card you’ll often have friends in common, which is visible on Facebook through the “mutual friends” section. Before you plan that first date, don’t be afraid to get a scouting report from the mutual friend. That way you’ll know what she’s like and if you really want to go on a date with her.
Another way to get a scouting report is by checking out all her pictures and her profile information. Is she into horses? Cool. Is she into Satan? Not cool. You can also see how she acts in public with the 300 pictures she has with friends. Is she so drunk that she is lying on the bar floor? Not cool (for most of us). Or is she smiling with friends? Cool.
Use a Wingman Card and you’ll get a great scouting report. If you don’t think it’ll work out save yourself the $80 and instead of going on a date hang with your buddies, buy a six pack for $10, and watch a game. Wingman Cards win again.

They all partied at Nectar Bar last night. Nectar bar, a big music venue in Fremont (in Seattle, WA), held an all Michael Jackson and Prince music night last night and Wingman Cards were posted up at the bar for people to grab and use. All classic MJ and Prince songs played all night with at least four hundred people and a two to one ratio of females to males tearing up the dance floor. Two Wingman displays with free cards were posted on the main bar for people to grab and over a hundred and fifty cards to used, passed out, and taken for later.
It was a great night and everyone was going nuts over all of Michael Jackson’s song because of his recent death. There were people dressed in full MJ costumes, white gloves, and lots of MJ hats. To add to the music, videos of both artists were playing on all the tv screens and the place was bumping to say the least. If you missed it, don’t worry, Nectar has this MJ and Prince night every seven weeks so check their

Nectar Bar
On that note, you haven’t checked out Nectar Bar it’s got great music and the outdoor patio and inside dance floor makes it a killer spot to dance up a storm then chill outside with some fresh air.
And if you happened to grab a Wingman Card last night let me know how it went. I’d love to hear some stories (brett (at) wingmancard.com). In the meantime, enjoy this tribute the late, great MJ.

According to the Air Force definition, this is a Wingman:
“The term Wingman stems from a time-honored tradition within our Air Force flying community that essentially says a lead pilot will never lose his/her Wingman. It’s a promise, a pledge, a commitment between Airmen who fly. The Air Force wants to cultivate and instill this same culture of commitment between all Airmen and Air Force civilians in all career fields and specialties via the Wingman program.”

This time the card was passed by a Wingwoman for her friend. Alicia sent me this story over IM yesterday:
Alicia: ps i have a good testimonial if youre looking for one — did i tell you i handed one out about 2 months ago?
me: how’d it go?
Alicia: the guy followed up the next evening, and brought his friends to meet up with my friends. i mean, it didn’t go any farther than that, but i didn’t even actually give the guy the card
4:53 PM me: what do you mean?
Alicia: my friend Cat basically decided she was gonna do it for me, she had one, put my # on it, and asked who i wanted her to give it to
4:54 PM me: nice, a card for a Wingman
Alicia: i pointed him out, and she went up to him and was like ” this is from the girl in the white shirt over there” and without ever talking to him that night, he texted me and brought his friends to meet up with my friends at ozzies.

Wingman Cards getting a shout out from the lovely Madame Lamb…
“a charming male friend of ML has created “the wingman card”, a pickup tool in the form of a fill-in-the-blank business card, to help bar/party go-ers find a nice girlfriend.”
