This time the card was passed by a Wingwoman for her friend. Alicia sent me this story over IM yesterday:

Alicia: ps i have a good testimonial if youre looking for one — did i tell you i handed one out about 2 months ago?
me: how’d it go?
Alicia: the guy followed up the next evening, and brought his friends to meet up with my friends. i mean, it didn’t go any farther than that, but i didn’t even actually give the guy the card
4:53 PM me: what do you mean?
Alicia: my friend Cat basically decided she was gonna do it for me, she had one, put my # on it, and asked who i wanted her to give it to
4:54 PM me: nice, a card for a Wingman
Alicia: i pointed him out, and she went up to him and was like ” this is from the girl in the white shirt over there” and without ever talking to him that night, he texted me and brought his friends to meet up with my friends at ozzies.

Sometimes I wish guys were required to hand out Wingman Cards at bars. I hate feeling cornered into a conversation where some guy is asking me dumb questions about my life, like what kind of music I like.

Here’s a little story…

I’m sitting in a dining hall at TU two nights ago by myself eating dinner. I walk by and make eye contact with this girl who was in my discussion last year, who is definitely hot, and with whom I have definitely made eye contact before. Never talked to her though, except maybe once in discussion. I see her around all the time and I wish I talked to her. These are the exact thoughts running through my mind at that moment. So she’s with a friend two tables away yackety yackin and I reach in my coat pocket and pull out a Wingman Card I happened to have, just in case. At the time, I didn’t know if I should walk away or not after I gave it to her. I didn’t have the protocol down. The point of the story is, I went home, checked out the website, read the tutorial, and ordered some more cards. Next time I see her, it’s on.”

Hey Wingman,

I handed a card out to a girl last night. This morning she sent me a Facebook message.

“Hello, You gave me a wingman card at Bar in New Haven so just wanted to say thank you and let you know that it pretty much made my night. So thanks!”

She is really hot, so I guess the cards work. Thanks for hooking me up.”
